Development continuum is an output of the project
CIVIS: FOCUSED ON CIVIC AND SOCIAL COMPETENCES
2016-2019
CIVIS project focused on development of civic and social competences, which aim towards socially and environmentally responsible behaviour of pupils. Experts, teachers and academians from across the whole education system cooperated and worked with the following aims:
- To verify and implement effective methodical approaches focused on connecting findings and skills from various fields that are useful for real life.
- To bridge the gap in the Framework Education Programme, begin working with levels of social and civic competences and to link them with the curriculum.
- To suggest changes in teacher preparation in a practical way that also follows current trends.
- To identify obstacles that impede implementation of effective methods into the educational system.

The aim of this project was to support teachers in introducing assessment as learning while utilising a set of criteria of the development continuum which develops competences to responsible behaviour towards nature and people.
